Raw Slab in 3D

In our design office, all of our bases are drafted and customised to fit the selected wood slab. The first step is to convert the raw slab into a 3D model. Using CAD software, the wood slab is digitally captured and transformed into a three-dimensional model. The 3D representation allows us to virtually position and adjust the base to achieve an optimal fit and a harmonious design. We can test different base variations and visualise their impact on the table’s overall appearance. By using 3D technology, we can also identify potential challenges or collisions early on and make the necessary adjustments. This enables efficient and precise planning before the manufacturing process begins.

Drawing of the base frame

Once the raw slab has been successfully transferred to a 3D environment, the design office proceeds to create the drawing for the base frame. Based on the specific requirements and the chosen design, the base frame is carefully drawn. Precise measurements, proportions, and construction details are taken into account to ensure an accurate representation. The detailed drawing of the base frame created in the design office ensures that all elements are correctly dimensioned and positioned. This is crucial for achieving a high-quality and aesthetically pleasing result that meets customer expectations.

Manufacturing Drawings for Carpentry and Metal Workshop

Using CAD software or other technical drafting tools, the various elements of the base frame – such as legs, struts, and connecting elements – are drawn in detail. Any mounting points for the wooden top are also taken into account to ensure a stable connection. The drawing of the base frame serves as a fundamental blueprint for the metal workshop and, in the next step, for the woodworking shop. It contains all the necessary information to manufacture the base frame with high precision and quality. The drawing enables the specialists in the metal workshop to fabricate the base frame in accordance with the specifications and design requirements.

Ordering Manufacturing Parts

Once the manufacturing drawing for the base frame is complete, all necessary metal parts are ordered. These include, for example, shaped tubes, metal profiles, fasteners, or other specific parts needed to construct the subframe. Careful attention is paid to the quality, precision, and suitability of the metal parts for the specific design of the subframe. Clear communication with suppliers ensures that the correct components are ordered and delivered within the agreed-upon timeframe. Timely and reliable delivery of the metal parts enables the manufacturing process to run smoothly and ensures high-quality implementation of the design.
